Officers received a complaint that neighborhood children were breaking sprinklers; the complainant intends to take them to court for reimbursement.
April 6, 1:22 p.m.
Officers were called regarding a man and woman arguing loudly about a possible AIDS outbreak between their three-person group.
April 6, 2:14 p.m.
A caller complained about a male neighbor flying a drone over homes on Marita Court; while investigating the home of the reported pilot, the officer assured the resident that he was not a peeping Tom and that her children need not fear going to jail.
April 7, 9:06 a.m.
A woman called to complain that her 19-year-old son would not go to school after she had taken his phone. Officers informed her that if she did not purchase the phone, she would have to return it. Upon the phone’s return, her son went to school.
April 7, 10:15 a.m.
Police were alerted to an abandoned semi in the middle of U.S. Highway 93; upon locating the driver in Jack-in-the-Box, officers advised him that it was not permitted in Nevada to leave trucks in the road while picking up a sandwich.
April 8, 10:22 a.m.
Officers received an anonymous call about a student posting a video on Instagram stating that she wanted to kill students. Officers learned the post was a parody of a trending video on YouTube and warned the student about poor judgment. The video was removed.
April 9, 10:49 p.m.
Officer received a call from man claiming his wife hit him in the face with a clothes hanger. No weapons, alcohol or drugs were reported on the scene. The incident occurred on Wyoming Street.
April 10, 7:11 p.m.
Police received a call about an attempted suicide. The subject was seen with superficial cuts on his body. The man was not seriously bleeding and was responsive to the officers.
April 11, 12:45 p.m.
Officer received a call from the owner of the Trading Post claiming that two former employees threatened his life. No physical incident occurred and the former employees left
