Community Club to kick off season with lunch
Michigan “Yoopers” Brent and Kris Edlund landed in Boulder City to make a nest for their offspring in 2002. While raising their sole progeny is almost complete, the two know they made the right decision migrating west.
Never one to miss an opportunity, Don Walker said his attitude allowed him to help shape and grow Emergency Aid of Boulder City in an organization that provides financial assistance and thousands of pounds of food to local residents in need.
With many of its shelves empty, Emergency Aid of Boulder City welcomed more than 3,500 pounds of food Saturday.

History and traditions are important to Boulder City residents, and especially for members the Mitchell family. Each September they create a display for the Boulder City Library lobby that commemorates Constitution Week, which is marked annually by the Daughters of the American Revolution.

A fundraising pancake breakfast sponsored by the Honor Flight of Southern Nevada was held Saturday at Red Rock Harley-Davidson in Las Vegas. Several Boulder City veterans, including those who participated in past Honor Flights, attended.
The Satellite club of the Rotary Club of Boulder City donated five wheelchairs to the Senior Center of Boulder City last weekend, addressing a critical need for some of the city’s older residents.
