Oaklane students mark two months of holidays

Children from Oaklane Academy presented a Valentine’s and Presidents Day performance for their “adopted grandparents” at Boulder City Hospital and The Homestead at Boulder City.

The children celebrated January and February holidays such as Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Groundhog Day, Valentine’s Day and Presidents Day through song.

“The residents loved to see the children sing and dance, and their eyes were aglow when the children walked into the room,” said Carole Gordon, director of Oaklane Academy. “What a wonderful, warm feeling everyone had — children and adults — when we showed a little love to our adopted grandparents.”
