Accident closes down lanes on U.S. 95

A Lincoln Navigator followed by two motorcycles was involved in an accident Tuesday afternoon that closed down U.S. Highway 95 in both directions.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol, the Navigator was southbound on U.S. 95 when it came to a stop in the far-right lane. It then was rear-ended by one of the motorcyclists. The other rider laid his bike down and also collided with the accident.

One of the riders was airlifted to UMC and was in serious condition with nonlife-threatening condition, according to NHP.

The lanes were reopened about 1½ hours after the accident.
