Boulder City residents Madison Stuart, 2016 Nevada State princess, and Taylor Blatchford, 2016 Miss Las Vegas Outstanding Teen, are helping HomeAid Southern Nevada collect school supplies for homeless teens. Saturday night, a large crowd donned their best 1980s attire, which included an abundance of neon-colored clothing as part of the aptly-named Neon Nights. The block party was hosted by Main Street Boulder City and served as a make-up event for their planned New Year’s Eve celebration, which was canceled due to impending weather. Attendees filled the restautants and bars along the steet, while listening to 80s music played by DJ Mike Pacini.

Photos by Ron Eland/Boulder City Review Over the weekend, the Rotary Club of Boulder City held its annual Best Dam Barbecue, which drew thousands of people. The event featured both a car and motorcycle show, music from Mike Pacini, dozens of vendors, and the star of the show, barbecue. In addition, vehicles of all ages filled the park both days of the festival.
