Several patrons of the Senior Center of Boulder City kicked off spirit week Monday on beach wear day by bringing along their favorite beach accessories such as a sand chair, shells, cooler and portable radio. Enjoying the festivities were, from left, Darlene Looney, Dearly Henderson, Larry Looney, Herbie Dunser and Patsy Burgess. Spirit week continues today with hat day and Friday with patriotic day.

I advised her to call a local appliance repair company. $85 later she was informed that it somehow went into its “locked function.” Simply holding down the Heat/Dry button for three seconds unlocks it. That’s all it needed. Boy did I feel dumb. I mean, I’m the Toolbelt Diva, after all.
