Girls basketball team gets holiday spirit

Members of the Boulder City High School girls varsity basketball team have been getting their holiday spirit into shape in preparation for serving as elves aboard the Santa Train for the Nevada State Railroad Museum.

The girls have volunteered to ride on each trip the train makes this weekend and the weekend of Dec. 21 and 22 to raise awareness of the basketball team and the need for donations to help defray the $200 cost per girl to play on the team. The spirit pack fee pays for uniforms, practice jerseys and other expenses.

Anyone wishing to help the team can send donations to Boulder City High School, 1100 Fifth St., Boulder City, NV 89005, Attention: girls basketball.

Coach Paul Dosch said it is important that any donations be sent specifically to the attention of the team otherwise they are absorbed into the school’s general fund.
