March 7, 4:39 p.m.

Officers received a report that a fire truck could not turn around because several vehicles were parked on the street. The owners were warned and agreed to work something out to make sure there is room for the fire truck to turn around.

March 7, 10:48 p.m.

Officers received a call that a vehicle hit a tree, and there were unknown injuries with the people involved. Both airbags had deployed, and there was fluid leaking from the vehicle. The driver was complaining of neck injuries.

March 8, 11:25 a.m.

A baby had the phone and accidentally called 911.

March 8, 3:58 p.m.

Officers received a report that a small child in a red T-shirt and black pants, wearing no shoes, was running around in the street. The child, who is autistic, had escaped his residence through a window after his mom had fallen and hit her head.

March 10, 5:55 p.m.

A woman called to request extra patrol because of a strange call she had received the night before. Someone from 800-255-1412 called her and said they knew she was alone. She said she felt uneasy and went to her neighbor’s house.

March 10, 9:22 p.m.

Someone called to ask for assistance in locating a robbery suspect who is possibly at his residence in Boulder City.

March 11, 7:19 a.m.

Someone reported the dog show participants were letting their dogs run in the closed area near the baseball field where dogs are not allowed.

March 11, 1 p.m.

Officers received a report that a resident was continually going to the house across the street and buying drugs out of a side bedroom window.

March 12, 7:51 a.m.

A pit bull mix dog was reported to be on the golf course, chasing golfers. This has happened several times in the past. The owner of the dog would be contacted and asked to get a leash for the dog.

March 12, 10:17 a.m.

Officers received a report that someone’s husband slid off the bed and couldn’t get up. He needed assistance. There were no injuries.

March 12, 1:22 p.m.

Officers received a report that a 5 foot 8 inch black man in his mid 20s was watching the kids golf tournament while inappropriately touching himself and hiding in the bushes near the kids. The man was arrested on a felony no bail warrant with full extradition.

March 13, 3:16 a.m. .

Someone called to report he thought someone was on the roof of his motorhome and drilling holes into it. He said they were travelling to Henderson. Officers passed the information on to Nevada Highway Patrol with the caller on the line. The caller then told the driver to slam on the brakes. He said he believed one person fell off the roof of the motorhome, but another one was still drilling in.

Clean, clean Boulder City

Saturday, volunteers got a 7 a.m. start for Shine Boulder City, hosted by Main Street Boulder City. The clean-up was an initiative through American 250 Nevada. Volunteers helped clean statues, benches and some business exteriors within the Historic Downtown District.

A weekend of art

This past weekend, the Boulder City Art Guild hosted its annual Artists in Action show and sale at the Boulder City Parks and Rec gym. While members do not have to live in Boulder City, all participants must be members of the Art Guild. Top, Boulder City artist Barbara Pearce uses a dotting technique to paint images onto rocks.
