Artists sought to work on murals
Work on the murals on the Browder Building has begun in earnest, but additional help from area artists is still needed. Connie Burnett Ferraro, who has painted about 30 murals throughout the city, is coordinating the effort of local artists. Specifically, she is seeking several high school students to join the effort.
She is asking interested students to contact her and provide a sketch of the design they would like to paint.
Currently, the idea is to have the murals showcase the recreational opportunities of and near the city.
In addition to painting murals on the Browder Building, the artists will work on boards on the former Scratch House restaurants on Arizona Street.
