Pit Stop claims men’s softball league fall championship

Pit Stop took home the Boulder City Parks and Recreation Department’s men’s softball league 2017 fall championship Nov. 30 after beating Boulder Dam Credit Union in the final at Hemenway Valley Park. This is the second season that Pit Stop has come up through the double-elimination tournament to take home the prize, said Kelly Lehr, sports coordinator for the department.

This year, Wahoo’s Fish Taco sponsored the adult softball league and honored the winning team with a gift certificate.

Softball coed league continues through Dec. 17 at Hemenway

The recreation department’s coed softball league continues play through Dec. 17. Currently, Boulder Dam Credit Union is in first place and Boulder Bowl is in second place.

Games are played Sunday evenings at the ball fields at Hemenway Valley Park.

Continuing their claim as the most accomplished high school boys volleyball program in the 3A classification this decade, Boulder City High School had four players named to the All-State team.

Robinson named to 1st team All-State

Four Eagles were named to the 3A All-State team after helping Boulder City High School baseball reach the 3A state tournament.

Rogers named league player of the year

Leading Boulder City High School softball to the 3A state tournament, eight Eagles were named to the All-Mountain League team, highlighted by player of the year Payton Rogers.

Eight swimmers lead awards for girls

Boulder City High School girls swimming finished fourth at the 3A state meet, and for their efforts, eight Eagles were named to the All-Southern Region team.
