Athlete of the Week

Laura Hubel/Boulder City Review

Each week the coaches at Boulder City High School nominate an athlete to spotlight for contributions made to his or her team. This week’s honor goes to senior Braden Klouse, team captain for the boys swim team. He was recognized for his leadership as well as his ability in the water. Klouse won the 200- and 100-meter freestyles and the 100-meter butterfly and has been on several winning relay teams. “I count on him so much,” said coach Sara Carroll. In addition, he is on the student council, serving as senior class treasurer. He has been a delegate for the Nevada Boys State program and competed in cross-country. He is the son of Lois and Paul Klouse.
