Members of Thomas K. Brown’s family, from left, daughter Barbara Nash, grandson Thomas Allison, daughter Bonnie Jean Allison, and great-grandsons Robert Allison and Trenton Whittaker, were on hand to help dedicate the National Park Service’s new fireboat at Lake Mead National Recreation Area on Friday. The ceremony was held on the 45th anniversary of Brown’s death during a training accident at Ringbolt Rapids on Lake Mohave.
