A man told police that someone stole the wheels off of his boat trailer.

A man told police that he let a homeless man stay at his house for five weeks, but the man refused to leave when asked.

A woman told police that her car was sideswiped in the parking lot while she was shopping.

July 29, 12:19 p.m.

A woman told police she lost her car with her cat locked in it.

July 29, 4:06 p.m.

Police received a call about a man who was peeing by the bushes near the post office.

July 29, 7:05 p.m.

A call came in about a man shooting birds with a pellet gun, police said.

July 30, 7:56 p.m.

A man told police that someone dumped red paint all over his front door. The man told police that he thought that it might've been done by a neighbor who didn't like him.

Aug. 1, 10:41 a.m.

Police received a call about a dead rabbit.

Aug. 2, 12:39 a.m.

A woman told police that she was harassed by four bikers demanding hotel keys.

Aug. 2, 12:14 p.m.

Police received a call about a small plane that was forced to make an emergency landing at the dry lake bed. No one was seriously injured.

Aug. 2, 1:50 p.m.

Police received a call about 15 sheep on U.S. Highway 93.

Aug. 3, 5:36 a.m.

A man told police that his roommate was poisoning his dog.

A trip to the workshop for the High Scalers, the robotics team at Boulder City High School in 2024 was much like a visit in 2023. Stuff used to make and practice with the robots built by the team everywhere, six or seven kids gathered there after school and a faculty advisor ensconced in the back of the room at a desk.

Judging by the number of people speaking out against it during public comment at the last city council meeting and the tone of numerous social media posts, the proposal to allow for licensed pet breeders to operate in Boulder City is itself breeding a growing opposition. And the opposition appears to be spilling over into other pet-centric issues, including the fact that, unlike anywhere else in Clark County, Boulder City does not require dogs to be on a leash in public.
