Cooler weather to prevail

After a week’s worth of heat that saw temperatures reach as a high as 106 degrees, Boulder City is in for some cooler temperatures, at least for the next week.

According to meteorologist Chris Stumpf of the National Weather Service, a cool system has worked its way down from Northern California, which will dip the temperature nearly 10 degrees.

Temperatures are not expected to exceed 98 degrees for the next few days, and Stumpf said the cool system should keep Boulder City’s temperatures in the 90s until the middle of next week.

The highest recorded temperature in Boulder City was 119 in 2005, Stumpf said.
