Vegas PBS, aka KLVX-TV, Channel 10 will air debates related to federal, state and local races and two ballot initiatives in October. Candidates vying for the offices of Congressional District 3, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, attorney general and Clark County sheriff will discuss issues relevant to these elected positions. Debates on ballot initiatives Questions 2 and 3 are also scheduled.

Steve Sebelius and Elizabeth Thompson, political commentators and guest hosts on Vegas PBS’ “Nevada Week in Review,” will co-moderate all debates.

The debate broadcast schedule is as follows:

Friday, 7:30 p.m.: secretary of state candidates Barbara Cegavske and Kate Marshall

Oct. 9, 7:30 p.m.: ballot initiative Question 2, mining tax

Oct. 10, 7:30 p.m.: ballot initiative Question 3, Margin Tax

Oct. 10, 8 p.m.: attorney general candidates Adam Laxalt and Ross Miller

Oct. 17, 7:30 p.m., Congressional District 3 candidates Erin Bilbray and Joe Heck

Oct. 17, 8:15 p.m., lieutenant governor candidates Lucy Flores and Mark Hutchinson

Oct, 24, 7:30 p.m.: Clark County sheriff candidates Larry Burns and Joe Lombardo
