BCHS wrestling team holding clinic Saturday

The wresting team from Boulder City High School is sponsoring a wrestling clinic from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday in the wrestling room at the high school, 1101 Fifth St.

Former BCHS wrestlers who wrestle at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Ariz., will lead the session.

Cost of the clinic is $20 and includes a T-shirt. Fees are due with the school’s banker.

Pumpkinman Triathlon this Saturday

The 12th annual Pumpkinman Trathlon will take place Saturday.

The event will include four races: sprint triathlons, olympic triathlons, 5k and a 10k. According to race director Cedric Keppler, more than 1,200 people will travel to Boulder City from the United States, Canada, South America and Europe.

The triathlons will start at Lake Mead at 7 a.m. while the 5k and 10k start at Wilbur Square at 8 a.m.

Lake Mead will be the starting point of the swim section, while the bike race will start at Boulder Beach and end at Wilbur Square, navigating through the River Mountain Loop Trail and Nevada Way.

Road closures will be in effect for the run portion of the triathlon from 8 – 12:30 p.m. and will include Colorado St, Nevada Way, Park St, Utah St, Wyoming St, River Mountain Ave, Adams Blvd and Canyon Road Point.

There will be an expo with festivities taking place at Wilbur Square from 8 – 12:30 p.m. All residents are invited to partake in the event and all local businesses are invited to the expo.
