Elks Lodge to hold annual free-throw contest
Boulder City Elks Lodge will hold its annual Hoop Shoot free-throw contest Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 5 and 6, in the Boulder City Recreation Center, 900 Arizona St.
Presented by Elks lodges across the nation, the event is open to children ages 8-13. Winners in each age bracket will advance to district, state and national competitions. The national contest will be held in Chicago in the spring.
Boulder City Elk member John DeCenso is this year’s local chairperson. Steve McBride, also from the Boulder City Lodge, is the state director for the hoop shoot.
