Little League tryouts scheduled for Saturday at Veterans’ park
Boulder City Little League is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and will be holding tryouts Saturday morning at the baseball fields inside Veterans’ Memorial Park, 1650 Buchanan Blvd.
Children will be divided by age into four groups. Juniors, for those 12-15 years old, will try out at 8 a.m.; majors, for those 10-12 years old, will try out at 9 a.m.; minors, for those 8-10 years old, will try out at 10 a.m., and rookies, for those 6-8 years old, will try out at 11 a.m. All rookies must turn 6 before Aug. 31.
Make-up tryouts for all age groups will be held from 6-8 p.m. Feb. 16. The player draft will be held Feb. 18, and opening day will be March 18.
Boulder City Little League accepts boys and girls. To try out, all players will need three forms of proof of residency and their birth certificate.
