Two teams tied for league lead

Boulder City Parks and Recreation Department’s men’s softball is down to the final weeks of the regular season and the competition is evening out at the finish line.

In this week’s league action Duetto surprised Pit Stop in the opening game 13-12 on a Mike Jones’ walk-off home run. Pit Stop came back strong winning the nightcap 15-7 but the loss puts Pit Stop and Time to Mash atop the standings with identical records. Time To Mash holds the tiebreaker at this point in the season.

In other action Time to Mash swept Papillon sweating out a close game in the nightcap, 21-20. Boulder Tree got its second win of the season splitting games with Credit Union 14-11 and 6-10. Regular season play action resumes at 6 p.m. tonight at Hemenway Park.

Coed teams had the weekend off and resume play Monday.
