Registration for youth football program set for July 30
Registration for children interested in participating in the Junior Eagles 2015 tackle football program will be held from 6-9 p.m. July 30 in the Multiuse Building, 1204 Sixth St., near the Boulder City Pool and Racquetball Complex.
The program is open to children in kindergarten through eighth grade. Participants must bring their birth certificates and a legal guardian to the registration session.
The Boulder City Junior Eagles are part of the Nevada Youth Sports league. Preregistration, program fees and additional information can be found at www.bcjreagles.com or http://nysnevada.com. Financial assistance may be available.
City parks department offering free youth kickball program
The Boulder City Parks and Recreation Department is offering open kickball nights for youth entering sixth-ninth grade.
The games will be played July 14, 21 and 28 at Pratte Field at Veterans’ Memorial Park, 1650 Buchanan Blvd. Play will begin at 7 p.m.
No special equipment is needed, but participants are asked to wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Cleats are not allowed.
Parks department recreation coordinator Steve Corry said, “Kickball is a fun and active sport and games are designed to help kids realize the fun of fitness and social participation with other youth.”
This activity has no fee.
