Jim Holland, left, and Kevin Tibbs won the 2016 Dan Leach Memorial Horseshoe Tournament on May 29. Standing with them is Laura Leach, widow of late corrections officer Dan Leach. The 23-team double-elimination tournament raised $1,955 for the Dan Leach Memorial Fund, which provides financial support for local youths for extracurricular activities. Leach, a corrections officer for 25 years, was killed in November 2009 when his transport van collided with a semitruck just outside of Searchlight. Also pictured are Leah, left, and Hanna Tibbs.
