Duetto rises to the top

Standings in the Boulder City Parks and Recreation Department’s men’s softball season remain close.

Duetto is in first place this week in front of The Credit Union, while Pit Stop is only one game behind. The Crew and Ralph’s Tires continue to battle every Thursday giving their competitors close games.

League play continues on Thursday nights at the ballfields at Hemenway Valley Park through the summer with the tournament wrapping up the season at the end of July.

Snap Fitness, Mighty Ducks battle for top spot

The fight for the top seed in the city’s coed softball league is close this season. The Mighty Ducks remain undefeated, but Snap Fitness has the same number of wins going into its bye week.

The HeShes, the newcomers in the league, are trailing the leaders by just one game. Jack’s Place and T.Q. Pallets are tied while Chicken Shack and B.C. Real Estate steadily gain momentum.

Play continues on Sundays at Hemenway’s ballfields with the final tournament wrapping up the season in July.
