The Boulder City Parks and Recreation men’s and coed softball leagues are underway, with games are being played at the Hemenway softball complex.
The men’s league plays on Thursday nights with games beginning at 6 p.m. and the coed league plays on Sunday nights with games beginning at 5 p.m. Both leagues play regular-season games with a postseason double-elimination tournament in November.
In weekly play for the men’s league, Time to Mash has forged out to an early season lead winning two games against league rival Pit Stop. Time to Mash has a 4-0 record followed closely by upper tier team Duetto at 3-1.
In coed action, newcomer Duetto Ducks swept a doubleheader over the Credit Union for a 2-0 record while perennial power Jack’s Place split a doubleheader with Hammer’s Bar and Grill. Hammer’s took the second game with a walk-off home run in the bottom of the sixth inning by CJ Lusch.
