Each week the coaches at Boulder City High School nominate an athlete to spotlight for contributions made to his or her team. This week’s honoree is senior Megan Morton, who is on the girls varsity basketball team. Coach Paul Dosch said Morton worked throughout the off-season to improve her skills and is the first player at practice and the last to leave. She is averaging 21 points, six rebounds and three assists per game. Against Desert Pines, Morton scored 29 points; she also scored 19 against Chaparral. She is the daughter of Jenny Morton and Todd Morton.
