Community rallies around coach with cancer

A bake sale and prize raffle will be held Wednesday during the Boulder City High School’s boys and girls basketball games against Pahrump Valley, benefiting girls head coach Paul Dosch, who is battling stage 4 lung cancer.

Tickets to the raffle drawing, featuring various prizes donated by the community, are $1 each, while donations will be accepted for baked goods.

“I’m greatly touched by the community support and their efforts to help me in my time of need,” Dosch said. “I’m grateful for everyone’s contributions. I look forward to continuing to fight and eventually beat this.”

Showing their full support for Dosch, members of the boys and girls basketball teams will wear navy “BCHS Eagles no one fights alone” cancer T-shirts during school hours and pregame warmups.

Looking for the entire community to come together, the Eagles are asking all fans to wear white against the Trojans.
