Men’s basketball league competition heats up
The competition in Boulder City Parks and Recreation Department’s men’s basketball league is heating up, according to Kelly Lehr, sports coordinator for the department.
Two games played Jan. 12 went in to overtime as Flight S2S outscored Slow and Steady 65-52, and Boulder Chiropractic snuck past B.C. Kids 65-60. Woodbury Law dominated Boulder Dam Credit Union in the late game 46-33.
The high scorers last week were David Murtha, 28 points per game; Jay Brown, 27 points per game; Ryan McQuillan, 21 points per game; and Chris Click, Jeff Johnson and Marcus Wilson, all averaging 19 points per game.
The standings: Flight S2S 3-0; Slow and Steady 2-1; Woodbury Law 2-1; Boulder Chiropractic 1-2; B.C. Kids 1-2; Boulder Dam Credit Union 0-3.
