Softball leagues to start soon
The Boulder City Parks and Recreation Department’s men’s and coed softball season is approaching. All interested teams should have a representative at the informational meeting on April 12.
Coed managers will meet at 6 p.m. and men’s managers will meet at 6:30 at the recreation center, 900 Arizona St. Games are scheduled to begin May 1.
The city’s women’s volleyball league and youth hockey for third- through sixth-graders begins this week.
During the opening ceremony for the youth hockey league Monday night, the sole sponsor, Copper Mountain Solar, was recognized.
Boy Scout Troop 30, Pack 7, led the presentation of the flags, the Pledge of Allegiance, and the national anthem.
Youth hockey games will be played on Monday and Wednesday nights through April.
