The Special Olympics Flame of Home traveled from Hoover Dam and was on its way to Reno for the start of the summer games on June 9. Since 2002, the run and other events have raised more than $2 million for Special Olympics Nevada.

The event featured both a car and motorcycle show, music from Mike Pacini, dozens of vendors, and the star of the show, barbecue. The announcement came a day after the coroner’s office said a man who was also found dead in the house died from suicide. The Boulder City Police Department have not said publicly if the two deaths have been ruled a murder-suicide.
