March 11, 10:09 a.m.

A resident called police to report someone wiggled the handle on the back door of her home. No one was seen in the yard.

March 11, 8:05 a.m.

Police received a call of approximately five gunshots in the area around New Mexico Street. Police discover someone working on a car on Avenue D, which could have been the source of the noise.

March 11, 1:17 p.m.

Police received a report about a dog that appeared to be in distress locked in a car parked behind the Senior Center. The person states the car has been there at least 40 minutes.

March 11, 4:16 p.m.

Someone called to report children playing on the roof of a house.

March 11, 5:25 p.m.

Police receive a report of a 4-foot-long tan and black snake hissing and wiggling.

March 12, 11:44 a.m.

Police received a report of a man lying down in the back of this car. Upon questioning, the man said he had a headache and was taking a nap before returning home to do some work.

March 12, 6:30 p.m.

Police received a report about a man with serious injuries after an ATV accident. A helicopter medical transport was requested to take him to UMC Trauma Center.

March 12, 6:41 p.m.

Police received a report about a man with a fatal, self-inflicted gunshot wound who was discovered in his garage. The coroner was called.

March 13, 11:38 a.m.

Police were asked to check on the welfare of a teacher who had been missing since March 6. The teacher was contacted and said the phone and computer were not working so a request for a leave of absence could not be completed. Also the teacher reported that people were entering the home to take items and then replacing them with other items.

March 13, 5:22 p.m.

A woman called to report she was fighting with her husband and that he wanted her out of the house immediately. After speaking with officers she agreed to leave for the night.

March 14, 12:25 p.m.

Police received a call about a fight between a mother and son. Upon arrival, the mother appeared intoxicated and was warned about making a false claim of battery.

March 15, 1:02 a.m.

Someone called to report that a neighbor’s sprinklers had been on for about four hours and water was running down the street. The resident was contacted and the sprinklers were turned off.

March 15, 8:43 a.m.

Police received a call from a person stating a cooler with eight beers and several snacks was left on the back porch along with several chairs after a birthday party the previous night. The empty cooler, chip bags and chairs were discovered on the nearby golf course. The caller requested extra patrol around the home.

March 15, 9:48 p.m.

A person called to report that a neighbor said the caller’s son, who is in high school, was having a party while the parents were out of town. Approximately 40 kids were seen at the party.

March 16, 8:04 a.m.

Officers gave a woman a ride home after she was spotted walking on the street with no shoes and wrapped in a blanket. She said she had just been in a fight with her boyfriend and wanted to go home.

March 16, 10:48 a.m.

Police provided assistance to a man who appeared to be disoriented and thought he was in Mississippi.

March 16, 6:41 p.m.

Police arrived at Garrett Junior High to find a woman who appeared to be passed out. After testing her alcohol level, she was warned about public intoxication and picked up by a friend.

March 17, 11:27 a.m.

Police received a report of a suspicious couple wearing cowboy hats and carrying backpacks.

March 17, 1:58 p.m.

Someone called to report finding a drug kit with drugs by the pool. It was picked up by officers and destroyed.

March 17, 10:34 p.m.

Police received a report of a fire in the street. It was extinguished.
