A caller reported discovering a motorcycle of unknown origin in the driveway, parked in such a manner that it appeared to be intentionally hidden. Although steps were taken to impound the vehicle, its owner eventually showed up and claimed the motorcycle.
Aug. 16, 11:40 a.m.
A man called officers to complain about a man, to whom he had given a down payment for home repairs, after the man failed to show up and was not answering his phone.
Aug. 17, 12:20 a.m.
A woman called requesting officers perform a civil standby as she planned to tell her husband to move out when he returned home from work, after his 45-minute commute. Officers notified her they would not be able to do so, as the man was under no obligation to move out, as there was no order for protection in place, despite the fact she had already boxed up some of his belongings.
Aug. 17, 7:40 a.m.
A woman approached officers on the street to report domestic violence at her mother’s home, claiming the male caretaker had grabbed her mother by the throat and thrown her out the door. After speaking to the mother alone, officers determined the woman filing the complaint had been staying there only temporarily after being released from jail a few days prior and that nothing the woman reported matched her mother’s statement.
Aug. 17, 10:08 a.m.
A woman came into the lobby to report a fraudulent check she had received at her place of business. Upon contacting the Boulder Dam Credit Union, it was determined the account had been closed for years, but the credit union offered to cover the charges.
Aug. 17, 11:17 a.m.
A man reported to officers that his wife of four months had taken his car the day before, as well as some of his belongings, after she had broken the door to take personal items of her own.
Aug. 18, 7:30 p.m.
Officers were notified about children inside an apartment jumping up and down, yelling and screaming for several hours.
Aug. 19, 2:33 a.m.
Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle and learned the subject was looking for his daughter, who had not returned home on time; he did not yet want to report her missing to the police department.
