A man called police to report kids trespassing on the old motocross track, which now is a drone track. The man followed the trespassers to their van, where one told the man he should have more “No Trespassing” signs and that they thought it was acceptable because there were holes in the fence and parts that were knocked down. The trespassers declined to wait for police.
Aug. 2, 7:22 p.m.
A man called to complain he had been punched in the face by a woman for whom he had been doing lawn work.
Aug. 2, 7:53 p.m.
A woman called officers to complain that she believes she was being targeted for her political views because of graffiti on a road work sign in front of her house. The sign company agreed to replace it.
Aug. 3, 3:48 p.m.
A man called to complain that an older woman had knocked on his door and told him to leave his house as, according to her, “the President of the U.S.” told her she lives there.
Aug. 4, 9:54 a.m.
A caller complained there were people in the backyard of a neighboring house, the owner of which recently had died. The people in the backyard explained they were family members of the person who died and were assessing work that the house required.
Aug. 5, 10:52 p.m.
A man came in to the police station complaining that, after working at a house, he was not allowed to retrieve his items. The woman at the house allegedly was hostile toward police and claimed that because of an unknown contractual issue, the items on her property now belonged to her. The woman’s daughter-in-law said they knew the items belonged to the man making the complaint and his company; she made arrangements to return the property.
Aug. 5, 10:55 p.m.
A woman called requesting officers’ assistance after her husband put a rope around his neck and threatened to hang himself when she told him she wanted a divorce.
Aug. 7, 4:12 a.m.
Authorities were called regarding destruction of property when a statue was knocked over near Sherman’s House of Antiques. It did not appear to be hit by a car.
