A store clerk at CVS saw a man throw a woman to the ground. When she got up the two people began yelling at each other. The woman eventually got back into a green Durango. Police officers found a comb and napkin in the parking lot that belonged to the woman. The clerk said he thought the two people were staying at the Nevada Inn.
July 17, 8:04 p.m.
A man was pulled over by police after he driving 75 mph in a 55 mph zone. The officer cited the man for speeding and informed him that his insurance was expired.
July 20, 9:02 a.m.
Police responded to a call about a blue sedan stopped in the travel lane at the intersection of U.S. Highway 93 and Veterans Memorial Drive. A white-haired man was found slumped over the steering wheel. The man was OK, but had run out of gas on the road.
July 20, 6:30 p.m.
A person reported a semitruck apparently leaking fuel. However, the man rescinded the call when he realized it was just water and not fuel. The police did not have to respond to the scene.
July 20, 11:16 p.m.
A 14-year-old called police claiming he was lost and did not know how to get back home. He was found in front of St. Judes Ranch for Children alone. He ran away from Childhaven in Las Vegas. The teen was picked up by an adult and sent back home.
July 21, 1:10 p.m.
A caller reported seeing a body lying in the bushes of a median south of Railroad Pass. The caller could see a pair of feet and legs in green pants. When police arrived they found a lime green sleeping bag in the median but no body.
July 22, 2:30 a.m.
A man called to say he witnessed the theft of mopeds in his area. The man claimed he saw two men and one woman stealing the vehicles. The caller claimed the theft happened near 1500 Industrial Road. Police found a man near the area who said he was going to work and noticed his moped had been stolen.
July 22, 12:05 p.m.
Police found a driver whose truck and boat were found partially stuck in the roadway. The man claimed the boat came unhitched when he was making a turn.
July 22, 6:56 p.m.
A man claimed he saw a group of kids playing basketball and destroying a public hoop. When the officer arrived, the kids were playing and doing no damage to the basket.
