Authorities were notified after black smoke was seen coming from a semitrailer. The truck caught on fire in the middle of a median as it was heading south toward Kingman Wash Road.
Jan. 13, 5:47 a.m.
A woman called the police after her ex-girlfriend broke into her house. The ex-girlfriend lived at the home for seven months and used the house keys she still owned to enter the house.
Jan. 13, 7:57 a.m.
A man called authorities after he came back home from a night out and his wife locked him out of his house and shot a gun at the door. The man told authorities he does not believe his wife should have a gun in her possession, and reported the serial number for the weapon.
Jan. 13, 8:25 p.m.
Officers detained a man after receiving a call that he created a bomb and was going to blow himself up. No bomb was found and authorities ruled the man to be intoxicated.
Jan. 14, 1:37 p.m.
Police were called after a woman ran out of gas on the side of the road and a park ranger did not stop to help her. She was later charged with two counts of misusing an emergency number.
Jan. 14, 2:00 p.m.
Authorities were called when a woman came back from out of town and noticed her door was open, her belongings were moved around and syringes were lying on the floor. The owner of the trailer park, Randy Schams, told authorities there was an unidentified African-American man in her trailer in previous days.
Jan. 14, 5:53 p.m.
A woman called the police after she arrived home and realized she was robbed. A male suspect was apprehended after he was found in an empty house up the street where he had been living.
Jan. 15, 9:52 p.m.
Authorities were called when they received a report from a woman who said she heard an alarm and yelling coming from the Boulder City Library. She believes she saw three teenagers attempting to break in. The teenagers were seen walking away, and no damage was noted to the library.
Jan. 17, 1:54 a.m.
Police were called when a woman claimed her house had been broken into. The woman claimed someone is trying to harass her, and is listening to her family through wiring in the house.
Jan. 17, 8:33 a.m.
A business owner was in the Boulder City Police Department to complain about a neighboring business owner who parked his motor home behind his business. The motor home owner did not pay for his fees and people were starting to live in it. Authorities advised him it is a civil issue and to call a towing company.
