A woman moved into her new residence, but not before being told by her neighbor about squatters that have been coming and going throughout the residence next door. The Boulder City utility department’s records showed the house had been vacant since 2012. Public works arrived, finding the front porch light on, but no one there. Public works turned the light off, put a lock on the electric breaker panel with all breakers switched to off, and uncovered all windows in the house so the inside could be seen.
Dec. 3, 2015, 10:15 a.m.
A Domino’s Pizza semitruck was parked on the northbound side of U.S. Highway 95 with a possible fluid leak. Fuel tanks, hazmat and Nevada Highway Patrol met the semi, which was leaking diesel fuel, on scene. Road closures were requested for U.S. Highway 95. The cleanup lasted approximately two hours.
Dec. 4, 2015, 6:49 p.m.
A person claimed a Regional Transportation Commission bus driver damaged his laptop among other belongings and assaulted him. Officers later found that the driver asked the person to exit the bus because it would be out of commission for 45 minutes. When the person refused, the driver then tossed his belongings off the bus. Police said the laptop appeared to have been damaged prior to the incident, and encouraged the person to call an RTC supervisor to further the matter.
Dec. 5, 2015, 11:20 a.m.
Two subjects approached a man about washing the windows at his house for $40 dollars. The man agreed, and gave the subjects $100 dollars, looking for his change. The subjects said they were going up the street to get change, and when they didn’t return after 30 minutes, the man called police.
Dec. 6, 2015, 4:48 p.m.
A person reported a tan sedan was at the overlook for an extended period of time. The woman said she pulled around to get the license plate and the vehicle started rocking. Officers found a 19-year old and a 13-year old in a state of undress.
Dec. 7, 2015, 2:55 p.m.
A man received an email from Amazon that his package had been delivered, but the package wasn’t there. The driver who dropped off the package came out to the man’s residence and showed where he dropped it off. They came to the conclusion that it was missing, and the man filed a police report. The package was valued at $35 dollars and contained a newer-brand, photo-light diffuser. Amazon shipped another item out after the police report was filed.
