Officers were called to Veterans Memorial Park for possible vandalism damage. A bench was thrown in the pond, a dog waste dispenser was broken, and there was damage to the grass from a vehicle doing doughnuts. No arrests were made.

A child welfare issue was brought to officers’ attention when a man called about his granddaughter’s paternal grandmother yanking on her arm. Officers assessed the situation and determined the grandmother, who has guardianship of the granddaughter, doesn’t have abusive history and welfare of child was OK.

A woman said her husband stole her car a couple of days ago when she kicked him out of the house. The woman said she hasn’t heard nor talked to him since. She also said the husband wasn’t wanted back around their daughter because of his narcotics use. The woman was advised on how to obtain a temporary protection order.
Oct. 31, 2015, 11:25 a.m.
Police were called by a woman claiming to be scammed by a strange man who had come to her home asking for money to help his wife. The man stated his wife had broken down on the side of the highway with groceries and that his roadside assistance service had expired. She claims the man asked for $40 dollars, but she gave him $20 instead. Officers checked and found no reports of a vehicle disabled on the highway nor a person matching the name and description the woman gave.
Oct. 31, 2015, 2:57 p.m.
The Fontana, Calif., police department asked Boulder City for help with a suspicious circumstance. According to Fontana police, a man sent pictures to his sister via text message that seemed to show a bloody torso. The man said it may be his son in the picture and that someone got hurt and was getting buried. The cellphone the man used was traced to a tower 2.3 miles north of Bootleg Canyon. Officers are on the lookout for a 2005 dark gray Jeep Grand Cherokee with an off-road body style and no front bumper.
Nov. 1, 11:15 p.m.
Officers were called when a group of seven or eight males were making noise in an alley way, causing dogs to bark. Upon officer arrival, all the males began to run. The police were able to catch three of the suspects.
Nov. 2, 5:55 p.m.
A resident called the Boulder City Police Department when a vacant house next door had its lights on. The resident thought someone had been squatting at the house. When police arrived they found no one but did find trash, property and that the toilet had been used and was foul. Officers were unsuccessful in finding the occupant but found two bags of marijuana in the bedroom and confiscated it.
