The man accused of shooting a gun in the city pleaded no contest to one misdemeanor count of discharging a firearm during his arraignment at Boulder City Judicial Court on Tuesday afternoon.
Appearing before Judge David Stephens, Timothy Sharetts accepted a deal negotiated by his attorney Stephen Stubbs that resulted in the elimination of 10 other misdemeanor counts of discharging a firearm in a public place. He also agreed to pay a $500 fine, attend a counseling program and stay away from the location of the shooting, 1303 Darlene Way.
As part of the deal, Stephens stayed a six-month jail sentence for Sharetts, but warned him that if he didn’t adhere to the negotiated terms he would be taken into custody.
Sharetts was arrested Jan. 19 after several people called 911 to report multiple shots fired in front of multifamily complex in the 1300 block of Darlene Way.
There were no injuries as a result of the shooting.
