Aug. 1, 11:18 a.m.

A man called to report a semitruck had jackknifed on the highway. There were no injuries. The caller thought the driver looked shady, and he did not feel safe stopping.

Aug. 1, 1:06 p.m.

A mail carrier called to tell the police that he was in a confrontation with a resident who was upset he had parked on the street. An officer advised the mail carrier to contact the postmaster with other issues.

Aug. 1, 5:10 p.m.

Officers received a call from a parent whose 8-year-old son had been missing for more than half an hour. He was last seen in the front yard. A neighbor reported seeing the boy running toward the park and looking confused. The boy was found at a friend’s house less than an hour later.

Aug. 1, 6:57 p.m.

Officers received a call from someone who found two bags of drugs in Del Prado Park and wanted them picked up.

Aug. 2, 1:54 p.m.

A woman came into the lobby of the police station with a threatening letter she received in the mail. Upon investigation, officers determined it was not harassment. The woman said she would bring in any other letters she receives from the sender.

Aug. 2, 2:28 p.m.

An unruly subject was in the lobby of the police department.

Aug. 3, 10:20 a.m.

A caller reported three men were loading something into a white van, and it seemed abnormal.

Aug. 3, 4 p.m.

A FedEx driver called and said she witnessed a female driver in the Albertsons parking lot hit another vehicle, leaving significant damage. She then saw her leave the scene in the direction of Burger King.

Aug. 3, 6:52 p.m.

Officers received a report that a Hispanic man in his late 40s was at the park across from Utah Street and the 7-Eleven. He was drinking beer and possibly urinating at the park.

Aug. 4, 8:34 a.m.

A caller reported that a truck and trailer have been parked in a three-hour parking zone for three days.

Aug. 4. 12:02 p.m.

Officers warned a man about driving with his hazard lights on. He said he was looking for a van of Chinese people who were not allowed on the range. Officers advised him to call the police department for assistance rather than conducting a stop on his own.

Aug. 5, 3:12 p.m.

Officers received a report that a transformer was on fire. They assisted the fire department and public works. Caution tape was put up around the damaged area.

Aug. 5, 10:15 p.m.

A man called and reported that a 35-year-old man white man was banging on his windows at the senior trailer park. Officers received multiple calls from other people who said the same thing. The man then walked to the school and was screaming someone’s name.

Aug. 5, 10:20 p.m.

Officers received a report that five people had heard gunshots from a dark colored truck that was driving past. They also found bullets at the side of a residence.

Aug. 6, 12:07 p.m.

Officers received a report from someone who had reported a bike was stolen Saturday and now someone was trying to sell it on Facebook.

Aug. 6, 4:11 p.m.

A caller reported that a rat was chasing people in front of a business.

Aug. 6, 8:54 p.m.

Officers clocked a white female driver with numerous passengers in the car, going more than 88 miles per hour in a 45 zone.
