April 12, 10:06 a.m.

Someone reported that a child stole money from an unsecured plexiglass donation box on the counter at a gift shop. Officers made contact with the juvenile, who admitted to taking the money before returning the $20. He was given a citation for petty larceny.

April 12, 8:02 p.m.

A man reported that people have been throwing spit cups onto his property for the past four months. He told officers he contacted the suspects’ parents, who said they would take care of it.

April 13, 1:19 a.m.

Officers received reports of a woman driving on the wrong side of the road.

April 13, 8:19 a.m.

A caller reported that there was an injured duck on a patio between some buildings, and some elderly people were upset and would like officers to respond. Officers then gave the “unhurt duck a courtesy ride to the duck pond.”

April 13, 12:03 p.m.

Someone reported a large piece of metal in the road on northbound U.S. Highway 93.

April 13, 9:02 p.m.

Officers received a report of juveniles running across the roof of a motel and into the houses to the rear of the business. The caller said this has happened before.

April 14, 2:34 a.m.

A caller reported four kids, two girls and two boys, were climbing a power pole.

April 14, 12:09 p.m.

Officers received a report that a truck with a trailer was pulled to the side of the road and on fire. Upon arrival, it appeared as if some bags on the trailer caught fire and were now off the trailer.

April 14, 12:20 p.m.

Officers removed a metal chair from the roadway.

April 14, 7:55 p.m.

Officers were asked to see if the crosswalk was working properly. A caller said the lights were malfunctioning, and he saw two people almost get hit. Upon arrival, it was found to be working correctly.

April 14, 8:37 p.m.

A caller reported that subjects were attempting to turn stop signs around. Officers attempted to locate them in the surrounding areas.

April 15, 3:09 p.m.

A mother stopped by the police station to see about pressing charges on a juvenile issue. She said a girl accosted her daughter at the bus stop at the junior high school while she was waiting for the bus.
