Finn’s complaint against attorney under review

Former Boulder City Police Chief Thomas Finn asked Mayor Roger Tobler for a City Council agenda item for an investigation of City Attorney Dave Olsen.

Finn said he has already filed complaints with the Nevada State Bar and Nevada Commission of Ethics against Olsen.

City officials said the council is not obligated to put the item on the agenda, but Tobler said Steve Morris, who is contracted to assist the city attorney’s office on civil matters, is reviewing the complaint.

Olsen said if the council has concerns, then it should ask the attorney general to investigate him. However, he said he hasn’t done anything wrong but it’s better for Morris to review the complaint.

Land needed for bypass to cost less

CARSON CITY — An eminent domain dispute over 3 acres in Henderson needed for the Boulder City bypass is expected to be finalized Tuesday by the state Board of Examiners for $4.6 million, far less than the $33 million offer from the landowner.

The state needs the parcel for the first phase of the bypass project to Railroad Pass.
