Local Toastmaster advances to national contest Two members of the Bolder Voices Toastmasters group of Boulder City competed in the District 33 spring conference, with Kyle Cavalier winning the championship.
Cavalier captivated the audience when delivered his speech, “The Lane to Perfection,” and was named the winner, advancing to the Toastmasters International Convention to be held in August in Washington, D.C.
He will compete in a semifinals contest before the final event to determine this year’s public speaking champion.
In a close contest, Brian Kitt took second place for his speech, “Aging Gracefully.”
