In celebration of National Park Week, the Lake Mead Institute is holding Find Your Park Day on Saturday. Visitors are invited to participate in a variety of activities that will showcase the recreational opportunities available at Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
Among the events planned are a fishing clinic that will include fishing tips and instructions on how to properly clean a fish; a dog-friendly hike along the Historical Railroad Trail; a nature journaling workshop; a gourmet campfire cooking session; and hike where a ranger will offer participants tips on taking and editing scenic photos using the Instagram app.
Space is limited on several of the events and reservations are recommended.
Additionally, the entry fee to the park will be waived through Sunday.
