Weekend’s Best Bets

1ECLECTIC SHOW STOPPERS: The Kid and Nic Show brings its high-energy, musical-variety show to Hoover Dam Lodge for a pair of free shows from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. The national touring act combines an eclectic set list of funky originals and popular covers, with comedy and a series of themed medleys. For the medleys the band adds costumes to the mix as it runs through music from hit films including “The Blues Brothers” and “Grease,” adding unique flair to the standard lounge act. The lodge is at 18000 Highway 93. For more information, visit kidandnic.com.

2GIRLS GET LOUD: Los Angeles-based acoustic rock duo Inky &Chalk will perform a free show at 8 p.m. Saturday at Boulder Dam Brewing Co., 453 Nevada Way. The ladies bring a sound inspired by The Kills’ electric riffs with a sarcastic twist and just a bit of the White Stripe’s sibling rivalry vibe.
