Steve and René Knott, who recently moved to Las Vegas from Tonopah, had heard for years about the American Association of University Women’s annual Home Tour in Boulder City, so they jumped at the chance to explore the town. “It is amazing and I’m so glad we finally had the chance to make it,” said René Knott. “It’s Christmas and it’s just so beautiful.”

Lynn and Anita Froistad spend half their year in Boulder City and were big fans of the American Association of University Women’s annual Home Tour, agreeing that it was a wonderful chance to explore some of the city’s history and see some unique styles of homes.

Rimi Marwah, left, of Las Vegas and Alyson Pyles of Richland, Washington, were excited to see the decked out homes on the American Association of University Women’s Home Tour. Marwah had volunteered for the event before and Pyles said they were both big fans of AAUW and the scholarships they provide for women and girls.

Roy and Elizabeth Black were quite taken with an as-yet-unnamed stray dog that was excitedly searching for a new family as they explored the Boulder City Animal Shelter, which was included on the American Association of University Women annual Home Tour on Saturday.
Four Boulder City Homes, the historic Boulder Dam Hotel and the Boulder City Animal Shelter were showcased on the American Association of University Women’s annual Home Tour on Saturday.
The afternoon event provided an opportunity to tour unique residences while raising funds for scholarships.
