Harold Begley, second from left, president of Boulder City Sunrise Rotary Club, accepts a $4,000 donation from San Diego Gas &Electric Co. for its all-night drug-and-alcohol-free graduation party for Boulder City High School seniors. Presenting the donation were, from left, San Diego Gas &Electric Co.’s Ian Stewart, regional public affairs manager; Kevin Lampman, Desert Star Energy Center plant manager, and Penney Newell, community relations manager. Additionally, the power company presented $1,000 to Emergency Aid of Boulder City. San Diego Gas &Electric Co. and its parent company, Sempra Energy, have been supporting the community since it built its first power plant in the Eldorado Valley in 1999.
