Norwegians Honor Osborne

Sons of Norway Desert Troll Lodge of Boulder City/Henderson has awarded Carolyn Osborne, a senior at Boulder City High School and a member of the National Honor Society, a $300 scholarship. Pharmacy college may be in her future. Desert Troll Lodge and NHS honors those who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service and character. Bob Nelson, foundation director of the Desert Troll Lodge, offers his congratulations.

Saturday, volunteers got a 7 a.m. start for Shine Boulder City, hosted by Main Street Boulder City. The clean-up was an initiative through American 250 Nevada. Volunteers helped clean statues, benches and some business exteriors within the Historic Downtown District.
