Garvin names to dean’s list at Montana university
Clinton Garvin of Boulder City has been named to the 2016 fall semester dean’s list at the University of Great Falls in Montana. To earn the honor, students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
MacBride promoted to lieutenant colonel in Army
Robin MacBride, a 1992 graduate of Boulder City High School and lifelong Boulder City resident, was recently promoted to lieutenant colonel in the Army.
He served 16 years on active duty and is currently an active reservist, working for I Corps and 104th Training Division at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington. His work involves partnering active-duty units with National Guard and Reserve units for training and support and developing partnerships for any contingencies that might arise across the globe. He said his parents, Mac and Karin MacBride of Boulder City, have been a major part of his success and his ability to serve, as well as his wife, Vanessa, especially during his three deployments, which totaled three years.
