How did you celebrate the holiday season?

Max Lancaster/Boulder City Review Kelsey Thompson spent the holidays with her family in Boulder City and plans on taking a trip to Northern Arizona for New Year’s. “I plan on going to Sedona for some hiking and wine tasting. I don’t have any New Year’s resolutions though because I think they are pointless.”

Max Lancaster/Boulder City Review Linda Hiwa spent the holidays with her six sisters having their annual Christmas breakfast. “My sisters and I meet at one of our houses every year and we make a big breakfast together.” Hiwa said that she has trouble staying up to greet the new year but every New Year’s Day they do a white elephant gift exchange. “We set up a $25 limit and do a white elephant gift exchange and then we fight over the presents,” she said with a chuckle.

Max Lancaster/Boulder City Review Joan Pomellitto said she had a wonderful roast beef Christmas dinner with her husband and friends. “I had a delicious roast beef with my friends and husband right here in Boulder City.” Pomellitto said she had one New Year’s resolution. “I just want to survive the new year.”

Christmas is over and New Year’s is right around the corner so we asked some Boulder City residents how their holiday went and if they have any plans for the first day of 2017.
