See Spot Run will hold a work day Saturday at its dog park in Veterans’ Memorial Park, 1650 Buchanan Blvd. Volunteers will be working from 7-11 a.m. so they can avoid any hot weather. All are welcome to help.
Denton to sign copies of book about Bechtel
Local author Sally Denton will sign copies of her newest book, “The Profiteers: Bechtel and the Men Who Built the World,” Saturday at the Boulder City-Hoover Dam Museum, located with the Boulder Dam Hotel, 1305 Arizona St.
She will be there from 1 -3 p.m.
The book focuses on the Bechtel family, starting with patriarch Warren A. Bechtel, who led a consortium that constructed the Hoover Dam.
Downsizing, decluttering topic for Anew on Saturday
Anew Women’s Network will meet at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Boulder City Library, 701 Adams Blvd..
Guest speaker for the session will be Pat Foll, who discuss downsizing and decluttering a home. She has taught design, worked in the commercial design field and consulted for residential design projects.
The group is for widows and offers friendship and resources.

Beta Sigma Phi to hold rummage sale Saturday
Beta Sigma Phi will hold its semiannual rummage sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 1301 Potosi St.
The sale includes high-end items for your home, yard and entertainment, sports equipment and tools.
Proceeds from the sale will be used by the sorority to support its philanthropic efforts.

PFLAG will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Boulder City Library, 701 Adams Blvd.
The group offers discussions centered on education, advocacy and support to discuss family issues with others who have experienced sexual-orientation issues.
Family unity and individual dignity are issues the group supports.
Those who attend are straight and gay.

Members of the Boulder City Chapter of Retired Public Employees of Nevada will gather for their monthly meeting at 11 a.m. April 14 at The Homestead of Boulder City, 1401 Medical Park Drive.

Auditions scheduled for BC’s Got Talent
BC’s Got Talent will hold auditions for its upcoming show starting at 9 a.m. April 16 at the Elaine K. Smith Center, 700 Wyoming St.
Appointments are necessary to audition, and there is a $10 fee.

Red Mountain Choir to present ‘Believe’
Red Mountain Choir will present “Believe” at 7:30 p.m. April 22 and 23 at the Elaine K. Smith Center, 700 Wyoming St.
The choir, conducted by Lisa Gillespie and accompanied by Ashley Peel, will be joined by students from King Elementary School, conducted by LaNette Coker.
Musicians for the concert include Francyl Gawryn on guitar, Adam Hallam on percussion, Tim Thomas on bass and Ruth Ann Platt on violin.
Tickets for the concert are $10 for adults, and free for children and students. They can be purchased at the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce, 465 Nevada Way, or at the door.

Ranger chat: “Wingspan Myths,” 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Alan Bible Visitor Center, 10 Lakeshore Road. Learn about the wingspans of a variety of desert birds.
Willow Beach cleanup, Saturday, Volunteers are needed to assist with beach cleanup, paddle craft shoreline cleanup and eco-dive.
