Christmas traditions abound

The Boulder City Review asked several local residents and visitors to town what their favorite Christmas traditions and movies were. Here’s what they said.

Hannah Dey, 22, Boulder City

Just spending time with my family, and having us all together during Christmas.

I love watching “Elf” every year; Will Ferrell’s hilarious.

Michael Vincent, 66, Boulder City

I can’t really remember having a specific tradition. The holiday absorbs me so whatever we’re doing that year I don’t try and resist it as much.

“It’s A Wonderful Life;” I love that movie.

Bob McGrady, 58, Tulsa, Okla.

It seems unorthodox, but we always travel this time of year. No one is traveling so we take advantage of it.

Definitely “It’s A Wonderful Life;” that’s a classic.

Georgette McGrady, 45, Tulsa, Okla.

As a kid we always went to my grandparents for Christmas. As an adult I became a Jehovah’s Witness, so now as everyone is stressing out, we’re kinda just relaxing.

I have to admit I like “A Christmas Story.” I like how it pokes fun at the Christmas traditions.
