Members of local law enforcement watch an explosion during the grand opening ceremony of the Eldorado Valley Regional Public Safety Training Facility in Boulder City recently. The facility sits on 240 acres of land donated by Boulder City. Henderson set aside $1 million to supplement $1.45 million in federal grants and appropriations secured by Sen. Harry Reid and the Nevada delegation. The facility contains firearm ranges with classrooms, an emergency vehicle course and an explosives and demolition range. Reid and Rep. Dina Titus attended the opening.
